Style: Style is subjective, but in my opinion, these have the competition beaten by a substantial margin. Build quality is also superb. The "buckle" pieces are actual metal, and the headband and ear cups are real leather.
Comfort: Although they are a little on the heavy side, they are extremely comfortable. The cups just feel sublime against my head, with just the right amount of padding, soft leather, and the perfect amount of tension. The cups are also the perfect size, unlike the Momentums which are much too small. I can wear these for hours without discomfort in the form of physical fatigue or aural fatigue (as described below).
Sound: Like I said, if you like other Polk products, you will love these. Polk's Ultrafocus 8000's stray from their typical sound and are much more dynamic and lively, but the Buckle strictly adheres to Polk's traditional smooth, natural silky sound. My favorite part of these headphones is the mids. They are so lush, soft, warm, and full that it is indescribable. The bass is also silky smooth, if not a little more pronounced than some of the competition. The treble is slightly subdued, but it makes for a very pleasant listening experience without any harshness, sibilance, or resulting fatigue. These are less articulate than the Ultrafocus 8000's and less lively than the Momentums, but that's what I love about them. A lot of people praise the mids in the Momentums, however I feel like the mids in the Buckles are far superior. It is particularly noticeable in the low mids. The Senns sound a little scooped to my ears, while the Buckles sound much more full. They just have that smooth, relaxed sound that is soft and pleasant to the ears, while at the same time sounding very clear. The soundstage is also superb for a set of closed back cans. All this being said, if you want the mids of the Buckles, the sparkly highs of the Momentums, and clean, deep, pronounced bass, all with unreal articulation throughout the frequency spectrum, you might want to give the Ultrafocus 8000's a look as well, but that's another review altogether.
Simply put, the Buckles are my go-to headphones for casual, relaxed listening. In my opinion, when you average out the areas of comfort and sound, they cannot be beaten. Throw style into that mix, and they absolutely blow everything away.
These are quality headphones. The sound is warm and full. The large earmuffs keep in the sound and won't disturb your neighbors if, like me, you're in a cubicle situation. The volume control is on the right speaker, not on the cord. When adjusting the sound, you can hear the mechanical, if clunky sound of the volume adjustment. The sound is similar to someone lightly dragging something across the hollow, molded plastic of the buckle. Between that and the lack of pivot on the earpieces, I docked them a star. Minor drawbacks for me. I didn't dock them for the headphones being heavy because these are full-size headphones and it's what I expected.
Pros:
Excellent sound quality
Sturdy
Carrying bag
Quiet for bystanders
Padded headrest is comfortable for bald heads
Cons:
Heavy
Bulky in a packing situation
Volume control audible
No Earpiece pivot
It's probably unfair to compare them to a different model but I also own the Hinge headphones from Polk and they are my preferred headphones. By comparison, they seem more solid and are significantly lighter and the volume control is on the cord; Earpieces pivot slightly. If you have it cranked up, people nearby can hear what you're listening to.
I should point out that the company offered to replace and that the product is very quality looking in person. We may have just gotten a faulty pair because I consider Polk to be a premium brand.
Looking for contacts to discuss about the compensation.
Negatives:
-The mic is seriously lacking, I would use these for phone use when I'm walking, biking etc. The person on the other end have far too much trouble trying to hear me stating I sound so muffled and far away. They still have difficulty hearing me if I'm at my desk facing the wall in a quiet room! Not sure if the headphones I received are faulty but it has seriously hindered my daily routine when I'm trying to multitask.
-They are a bit too large for my taste. I can feel the heft on each side of my head
- Needs a on the line mic for mic clarity.

Dec 2016 - Excellent purchase for price (bought on discount). Fits very well on head, comfortable and sound very very good! 3 products I have from Polk, always good stuff. Came in quickly and well packaged. I did not find the bass was too much like some online reviews. Only bad thing is the cord, will most likely required to be changed within few weeks/months.
